APPLICATION

PVC resin is a raw material for the production of rigid (viniplast) and plasticized materials. The polymer is processed into finished products by extrusion, pressing, and injection molding.

Adding plasticizers, pigments, and UV-stabilizing additives to the PVC resin allows flexible adjustment of the properties of the produced plastic.

FEATURES

PVC is easily machined (cutting, pressing), welded, glued to wood, concrete, or metal.

PVC products are safe for human health when used as intended. PVC is a thermoplastic, i.e. it softens when heated. The operating temperature of rigid PVC products should not exceed 80⁰C. Plasticized PVC should be used at a lower temperature.

PVC resin is a fine white powder. It is supplied in bags of 25kg.

The resin obtained by the suspension method differs from other production methods in the purity. Suspension PVC is characterized by narrow molecular weight distribution and a low degree of branching of the polymer. The resin has low water absorption, higher thermal and light resistance compared to emulsion PVC.

PVC products have low gas permeability, high mechanical and electrical insulation properties.

PVC plastics are chemically and weather-resistant. The estimated service life of PVC products is >100 years. For outdoor use, UV stabilizers are added to the plastic.

PVC does not support burning in the absence of a flame. The plastic can be recycled multiple times.
